WHAT ARE PELICAN PREFABRICATED SHELTERS?

Pelican Shelters have a galvanized steel post and beam framework with AEROCON™ panels. Made of two Fibre- Reinforced Cement Sheets enclosing a light weight core composed of Portland cement, binders and a mix of Silicaceous and Micaceous material aggregate. Their unique Tongue and Groove joining system facilitates rapid construction with minimum effort.

 The design department utilizes the Computer Aided Design technology.

Expandability: full trusses on both end-walls permit easy and fast modular expansion when required.

Permanence of Steel: All galvanized frameworks assure decades of shelter strength and permanence.

Non Combustibility: All Steel construction, with AEROCON™ panels recognized as “non-combustible”, classified as one hour fire resistive throughout. (as per Aerocon’s manufacturer’s brochure).

Lightweight: The steel framed PELICAN shelter achieves design loads without the extreme weight common with concrete shelters  making them ideal for either ground or roof top application.

Warranty:  Pelican offers a full 2-year warranty on every shelter. The interior and exterior have a resin based painted system applied, warranted for peeling. Checking or flaking.

Solid Web Steel Trussed: In 4mm to 2mm thicknesses, permitting fast, modular expansion of any shelter.

Standard Gable Roof: provides for positive drainage, insuring weather tightness.

Doors & Frames:

Heavy duty Door Hardware: Including steel hinges and pivot hinge, watershed, and lock set as specified.

Factory Installed AC: Including exhaust fans, intakes, and AC units as specified.
